  • 1 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl or stand mixer, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water; let sit until foamy.
  2. Mix in salt, oil, and two cups of flour. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead until smooth; place in a greased bowl and let rise covered for one hour.
  4. Punch down the dough, divide into 16 pieces, roll each into a rope, and shape into bones.
  5. Place on greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise again for about an hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with garlic salt and Parmesan before serving with marinara sauce.
