  • 56 ripe peaches
  • 1 stick (8 tablespoons) salted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Melt cubed butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in milk and vanilla until just combined.
  3. Toss peach wedges with remaining brown sugar and maple syrup in another bowl.
  4. Layer half of the peaches over melted butter in the baking dish. Pour batter on top without stirring, then add remaining peaches.
  5. Bake for 50-55 minutes until edges are golden and center is set.
  6. While baking, mix together melted butter and maple syrup for a drizzle.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature topped with ice cream and maple butter.
