  • 4 ounces dark chocolate
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (170°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with aluminum foil and lightly grease.
  2. Melt butter and chopped dark chocolate together over low heat until smooth. Cool slightly and mix in sugar, then whisk in eggs one at a time.
  3. Combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt; gradually add to the chocolate mixture until just combined.
  4. Pour brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly.
  5. In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, egg, vanilla extract, brown sugar, spices, and cornstarch until smooth.
  6. Spread the pumpkin mixture over the brownie layer.
  7. Bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cooling completely before cutting into squares.
