  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (crushed)
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1.74 oz Sure Jell fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. Clean jelly jars and strawberries thoroughly. Remove stems from strawberries.
  2. Crush strawberries to your desired consistency and measure two cups into a large bowl.
  3. Add 4 cups of sugar to the crushed strawberries and let the mixture stand for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. In a saucepan, combine 1.75 oz of fruit pectin with 3/4 cup water and bring it to a boil while stirring constantly for one minute before removing it from heat.
  5. Immediately add the boiled pectin to the strawberry mixture and stir for three minutes until sugar dissolves and thickens.
  6. Fill jelly jars immediately, leaving half an inch at the top, cover with lids, and let sit at room temperature for 24 hours before freezing.
