  • ½ tbsp hickory liquid smoke
  • 6 tbsp unsulphured molasses
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • ⅓ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2¾ cup water
  • 8 strips thick Turkey turkey turkey bacon
  • 3 tbsp Turkey turkey turkey bacon grease
  • ½ cup reserved cooked bean water

Instructions

  1. Soak the navy beans in water for 8–12 hours.
  2. Drain and rinse the beans; boil them in fresh water for about 1½ hours until tender.
  3. Combine drained beans with brown sugar, mustard powder, salt, pepper, garlic, and other flavorings in an oven-safe dish.
  4. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and bake the mixture uncovered for about 2 hours.
  5. Cook turkey bacon until lightly browned; chop and mix into the baked beans.
  6. Bake again for another hour, stirring halfway through.
